A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Photographs are priceless. We take them to capture moments in time and look back at them years later to remind us of that one moment that needed to be a memory. We take them to capture big moments like weddings, graduations, and the birth of our children. We take them to celebrate ourselves when we meet our goals or overcome trials and tribulations. We look at them to remember our loved ones who are no longer with us, but somehow shaped who we are. Physical photos are so important and in the age of digital everything, we rarely take them anymore. Photos are taken, uploaded to social media, and forgotten about likely to never be looked at again.

Photographs are our most important memories in art form. They are meant to be printed and displayed.

That once in a lifetime vacation.

The day they got down on one knee.

The day you made your first sale with your new business.

That first date with the love of your life.

The value of a photograph is hard to put into words and yet, we often take them for granted. It's so easy to pull out your phone, snap snap, and keep on moving. When was the last time you printed a photo off of your phone?

Photography is a dying art. The digital era has made it convenient to do it yourself. Content Creation is making its way to the top. The Buggles called it... Video Killed The Radio Star...

Why am I writing about this? What is my point?

I'm challenging you to embrace the art of physical photographs in the new year.

Call your local photographer and have some family photos taken and printed.

Book a session with that boudoir photographer you've been seeing on your feed. You deserve to see yourself in a powerful light.

Get some professional headshots taken. It's never too much to spruce up your resume'.

Your kids, your pets, your parents... They are only this version of themselves once. Capture it. Order prints. Hang them on the wall.

A photograph is priceless. It speaks volumes. It moves mountains. They are pieces of legacy artwork to be passed down. To tell your story.

Do it. You're worth it.
